The Burj Dubai’s record as the world’s tallest building could stand for at least five years

The Burj Dubai's record as the world's tallest building could stand for at least five years, according to one of the men who built it.
When quizzed by crazyengineers.com about whether he planned to build something even bigger, chief structural engineer Bill Baker said: "We're working on many projects, primarily in the Middle East and China.
"Some of these are quite tall, and I have no doubt that someone, perhaps our team, will design a building taller than the Burj.
"But, I do think that the Burj will hold the title for a while, at least five years or so."
Developer, Emaar, says the Burj has reached 780m and is now 160 storeys tall. The final height is thought to be 818m, although that has never been confirmed.
